I must say, I’m unbelievably excited by the fact that Toad the Wet Sprocket is on tour again. I’m not sure when the last time they actually toured is, but they haven’t really been together doing music for probably 10 years.

I was lucky enough to get to work a couple of their shows doing live sound back in the mid 90′s when they were producing records. I remember getting the Technical-Rider from their manager the first time they came through and we’d never even heard of them. I immediately loved the python reference in the name but hadn’t heard a lick of their music. We had the tour manager send us the latest CD which we all immediately loved. Then working that show in the basement of the WSU student union in a small cramped room and a couple hundred people… it was an amazing show, one I’ve rarely seen the likes of since.

Needless to say I haven’t seen them live since the 90′s let alone with Glenn Phillips again.

So anyway I’m very excited for this show…so much so, that I’m seriously debating flying to Austin Texas to see them if I can convince my long time friend and musician Darren Smith to go with me! Then I could see them twice, cause they can’t possibly suck in anyway.
