Things I do to Firefox to make it not suck like every browser on the planet. I use to do a lot more but am finding Firefox to become a lot slower and more unstable, so recently I par’d back to what made life usable. I wish Chrome had all these abilities. Don’t even get me started on how useless IE is.

This is for Firefox 3.5.x which has some things built in now that I use to use plugins for.

First thing type about:config in the URL bar and search on these settings and set them to these values.

• security.dialog_enable_delay set to 0 (fixes add-on timeout installation stupidness)
• browser.sessionstore.interval set to 300000 (fixes youtube and streaming lag issues)
